Young Sid was signed to the Move The Crowd (MTC) label by Kirk Harding of Universal Motown with Kirk stating “There is something special about Young Sid”
His album “The Truth” was released by MTC through Universal in NZ and Australia and features collaboration with multi-platinum selling artist Chamillionaire.
Winner of the Best Maori Urban Artist at the Waiata Maori Music Awards, Young Sid was also a finalist in the Juice TV Music Awards and the Vodafone NZ Music Awards in 2008. Sid is looking forward to future collaborations with the Korean Hip Hop community through his relationship with DMP founder Daemang Jang which will birth a newness and freshness into the world of Hip Hop.
